Our team centers a holistic approach, collaborating with others such as architects, interior designers, caregivers, and family members, as well as individuals with the disability community to create spaces that are accessible to all types of individuals. At M Street, we strive to advocate for inclusion and accessibility. We provide strategies and ideas to support independence and participation in your everyday life. This program was developed and is run by M Street's expert team of Occupational Therapists.

The Hanen Program® for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties.

Feeding Services

We believe in a responsive family and child-centered multi-disciplinary approach utilizing a Speech-Language Pathologist Occupational Therapist, to help families and children eat and enjoy mealtime. Central to our philosophy is the recognition that you, as the caregiver, are the ultimate authority on your child's needs and preferences. Your insights and experiences guide our approach, allowing us to provide personalized care that resonates with your family dynamics as we assist children in transitioning to the next developmental stage of feeding.

Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy & Bimanual Therapy

We have highly skilled and trained providers who are able to provide Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy, also called CIMT, and Bimanual Therapy interventions, both on an individual and group basis. Both of these intervention approaches are beneficial for individuals that have any health conditions that impact the use of one upper extremity. Examples include, but are not limited to: pediatric stroke, traumatic brain injury, Hemiplegia, Quadriplegia, Cerebral Palsy (CP), and Brachial Plexus injury.

Mighty Hands: A CIMT and Bimanual Camp
This program is an opportunity for children aged 0-4 and their parents to come together in a fun, summer camp atmosphere to engage in activities to promote their use of two hands together and strategies to target their less preferred side. Both CIMT with constraint and bimanual strategies are utilized, in fun and interactive ways! Our overall goal for the program is to encourage increased use of both hands both within play and daily routines, in an interactive environment alongside peers.
What is CIMT?
Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) is a scientifically proven intensive approach for children diagnosed with hemiplegia that involves placing a constraint on the less affected upper extremity to improve use of the affected upper extremity in play and functional daily routines. With a constraint on the less affected side, the therapist works to shape and refine skills with the affected hand/ arm with repeated practice within the child’s natural setting.
What is Bimanual Therapy?
Bimanual Therapy is also a scientifically proven approach, utilizing motor learning principles, to focus on the simultaneous use of both hands to encourage increased natural participation of the affected side into daily routines. This approach includes carefully planned two-handed activities involving functional play and daily routines, encouraging repeated practice to increase the use of two hands together.
Breastfeeding, Chestfeeding, and Lactation Support

Breast/Chestfeeding is one of the wonderful ways we can feed a child, however many babies and caregivers may find this to be a challenging task at first. Having difficulties around feeding your baby can be an emotional experience, and we want you to know you are not alone. We are here to support you in your feeding journey. There are many reasons why breast/chestfeeding may be difficult and finding the right support can help you and your baby learn what you need to help mealtimes feel more successful. M Street Pediatric Therapy offers comprehensive evaluations and services to provide education and support for lactation and breast/chestfeeding. Our multidisciplinary team of Certified Lactation Counselors (CLC) will work with you to support your family’s individual needs to help you and your baby thrive.
